1. Take digital photographs of the tidepools in your area. Around the new moon only.

2. Select the most abstract images. Extreme close-ups work best.

3.  Write an image processing program for edge detection using the Sobel Operator. Photoshop is to be avoided at all costs.

4. Take the output and input into a program that pixelates the image.

5. Scratch steps 3 and 4 and burn the output.

6. Input the original image into a marching squares algorithm to generate image contours. If reusing an existing program, make sure to understand every single line of code.

7. Print the output black and white image on parchment paper and use as a digital negative. Vellum paper may not be used in replacement.

8. Place negative on pre-coated cyanotype paper in between a piece of cardboard and acryllic sheet.

9. Clamp with paper clips only.

10. Expose to sunlight for 40 minutes.

11. Rinse with liquid of choice.
